Two Possibilities

There seems to come a moment in every creative work that I've pursued where I swiftly and suddenly fail to stick to either an established or an unspoken schedule. The unspoken schedule is obviously easier to break since there's no verbal or written accountability, but the expectation is still there; both from myself and from those who enjoy my creations. Interestingly when I reach this point it seems to either be the moment that I decide to assign a written schedule to my creative works or the act of assigning a written schedule to my creativity creates a crippling fear of not being able to meet the schedule, which translates into a self-fulfilling behavior of not adhering to the schedule.

Regardless, I'm not going to let that happen here. I missed a few days, true. I will say that I took a holiday vacation in honor of the fertility goddess and zombie jesus day. It is now Monday, I have a few to catch up on and I am going to. I'm not going to let this one fall through like all previous attempts at creation. I will attribute this to the need to breathe and I will not equate the missing of days with failure. Matt Inman once made a pretty good comic about creative works that really made me take a hard look at how I think about creating something.

So this was me inhaling. Buckle up everyone, it may not be a consecutive 365, but it's gonna be 365 regardless.
